UTAH MONTHLY January 2024 Location: Game Haven Sandy (9860 S. 700 E. Sandy, UT 84070) When: January 27th, 1:00 - 5:00 PM (Please arrive 10 minutes early to register) Cost: No entry fee this month - just bring yourself, your army, and your winning personality. Format: Standard Draft This month get ready to try out Standard Draft, a strategic format that is new to the Utah heroscape scene. Bring one army of between 380 to 400 points, and between 6 and 18 figures. Your army may have up to 21 figures, but no more than 18 can be placed at the start of the game. There is a dice-off at the beginning of the game. The winner of the dice-off may draft an army card from the combined pool of both player’s armies, or defer the opening choice to their opponent. Both players take turns drafting one card’s worth of units on their turn until all units have been drafted. The loser of the dice-off will then choose whether to place their army first or second. All glyphs, including treasure glyphs, will be placed power-side up. 380 to 400 point armies (standard points NOT Delta) 18 figure limit C3V & SoV allowed, Official Marvel NOT allowed this month Power Glyphs: Unique Attack +1, Move +2, Initiative +8, D20 +2, Wound Treasure Glyphs: Move +4, Attack +2, Defense +3, Disengage Four 50-minute rounds Raffle: Try Something New (that’s C+ or worse) Okay, so you don’t technically have to try something new, but if you do use something ranked as a C+ or worse on the Power Rankings Thread (C3V/SoV style, since we use them), you will be entered into a raffle for a sweet prize! https://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=37772 BE SURE TO RSVP so we can be sure to accommodate maps, prizes, organizer sanity, etc. for all attendees.
